Due to unforeseen circumstances
We will not be running evening classes for the remainder of the year
We are hoping to arrange online RYA Day Skipper and Yachtmaster theory training through a third party. Details will be posted here soon
What better way of spending those cold, dark, winter nights than learning a new skill or improving your existing knowledge, which, in turn will help you enjoy next year’s boating even more with the confidence that these two courses give? In addition a internationally recognised certificate is awarded.
Both courses are held in the friendly atmosphere of the Yacht Club and will last for 25/26 weeks, one night per week, two hours per night (7pm-9pm) with about the same time for homework and will run from the end of September through until Easter with the enrolment night for 2018/19 on Wednesday 19th September, 8pm onwards. It is not necessary to be a Club member – all are welcome
The course fee is £200 and an additional cost of about £70 for books, charts and the plotting equipment which is required.
The Day Skipper course will start on Tuesday the 2nd October and the Yachtmaster course on Wednesday the 3rd October 2018
The Club is affiliated to the RYA and a variety of training opportunities are catered for which include:
In addition to formal qualifications and training the Club welcomes new members and those interested in joining the Club and would like to experience sailing, novice crew members are most welcome.
First Aid at sea Course dates to be announced.
We also offer the following online courses which are available by arrangement.
