Southampton Boat Show meet & greet

This Friday at Southampton Boat Show, our very own Helen Baker will be doing a meet and Greet with Jazz Turner.

Jazz recently set the record for the first wheelchair-user to complete a solo, non-stop and unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland in a sailing boat. Now, she sets her sights on the latest round the world Yacht race, WorldStar.

Jazz is living with a progressive genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a debilitating genetic condition that means she is a full-time wheelchair user. It has also led to further physical complications that means her condition is likely life limiting. Rather than allow this condition to take away her strength and spirit, and being sailing obsessed, she have decided to fight back with determination, to keep sailing no matter what!
