Beers with a bit of Ionian sailing!

When Clive spoke at SYC about owning boat shares in the ionian, I said that a better way to do it is to have a friend with a boat share in Greece and go sailing with him!

So here we are, Clive, Ian, Adrian and me on the last day of our lads trip on Lettie May, a blue hulled Beneteau 393, back in Levkas Marina! Many beers later and a boat looking like a scene from men behaving badly, we can look back and say we definitely squeezed the juice out of this one.

Highlights included a scooter ride across Kefalonia, a 4am night in Alex’s bar on Kastos (ask Karen about that place!), a great sail down the Megsnisi channel, fab steaks at Ola Kala (OK) with George the mad Albanian, and even a night on board playing stupid games like Pit, drinking and listening to music.

The sleeping arrangements were interesting with Clive in the captains cabin (obviously), Ian in the aft cabin, Adrian in the saloon table and me in the cockpit! Clive- next boat needs more cabins!
The only mishaps were Ian falling out of the tender-although unusually for Ian we were already at the beach so he barely even got wet, nearly running out of beer and the autopilot not working- first world problems!
