Post Regatta and Trafalgar Night
Ahoy All,
Just a quick line from me about the Regatta weekend, I think a great time was had by all.
It is one of the toughest nights on the Regatta Saturday for me, and this one was certainly no exception, as we did a record number on the BBQ, 91 in fact, many thanks to Lee and John for cooking the steaks.
It was also great to see so many people turn out to help with the marquee, both putting up and taking down, even though the putting up should have been done on Friday but put off until Saturday because of the wind, and we still had a great turn out on both days, so thank you to all who helped.
Thank you also to the people who helped with clearing up and especially washing up on Saturday, the kitchen looked like down town Aleppo at one point but was all cleared up.
Sorry for anyone who may have missed out on some of the food, but like I said it was the busiest ever and we simply ran out.
That’s it from me as far as the Regatta goes but I am sure someone will do a write up about the sailing part later.
Now for the next event as we head towards the end of the year and the start of the busy social calendar time.
First event is the Trafalgar dinner of which you will find details below, there will be a list behind the bar as from next weekend 31st August and as you know places are limited.
That’s it from me for now.
Best regards
Paul Lester
