SYC Trophy Presentation Night
AFTER EUROS 2020, OLYMPICS 2020, NOW SYC TROPHIES NIGHT 2020.
Well, if the giants of 2020 run their ceremonies in 2021 because of the Pandemic, then why not stand on their shoulders and do our own 2020 Ceremony in 2021?
A terrific Saturday evening at the Club started with a remarkably fine roast dinner, served with aplomb by Svetlana and Paul. This was followed by rousing cheers for those who made the sailing possible – the finest Sailing Committee on the East Coast under Sam Kennedy, ably assisted by the talented Rudi Barman, good at fixing all manner of inconvenient sailing and club problems to just make things work.
Our Sponsors Tessa and Jimmy Stockdale, (thanks so much Tessa and Jimmy) made short work of stylishly handing out the silverware, with Vado winning so many Cups one wonders if there should be a new Cup just for the annual winner of the most Cups. A sort of Sportsperson of the Year. Perhaps the lead photo might suffice.
2021’s Ceremony will be at the Rugby Club this November unless anything unexpected comes along, and a date for this star-studded occasion will be going out shortly.
A thoroughly pleasant time, and so nice to see such a happy and busy evening.
